University mathematics

Help with the university maths on your timetable.

I tutor undergraduate mathematics from first-year calculus through to more advanced courses. Send me the course name or syllabus so I can look at the actual content you are covering.

Foundations

Calculus and first-year maths

College algebra, precalculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, multivariable calculus and related foundational topics.

Core courses

Undergraduate mathematics

Linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, probability, statistics and mathematical methods.

Advanced courses

Analysis and applied topics

Real analysis, complex analysis, advanced calculus, optimisation, mathematical modelling and selected applied mathematics.

Calculus I, II and III

Need focused help with calculus?

If your course is mainly limits, derivatives, integrals, applications, sequences or series, the calculus page gives a clearer picture of how I can help.

Course-specific support

Course names vary from one university to another.

A course called Mathematical Methods II might contain linear algebra and differential equations. Another course might combine calculus with modelling or probability.

The easiest way to check: send the course name, course code or syllabus. I can look at the mathematical content and tell you whether it is within my tutoring areas.

Engineering and science

Maths used inside a technical degree.

I can also help with the mathematical methods used in engineering, physics, computing and science courses.

  • Calculus and multivariable methods
  • Linear algebra and systems
  • Differential equations
  • Fourier methods where they are part of the course
  • Mathematical modelling and optimisation

Not sure whether I cover your course?

Send the course name, code or a short outline. I will look at the mathematics involved and let you know whether I can help.
